It’s taken me just under a year to blog this Feldberger Seenlandschaft Wedding. Why? Because trying to choose a small number of images from over 12 hours of non-stop awesome is reeeeeeally tough.
Cate and Jan had one of the most incredible wedding days I’ve ever seen. This British-German couple (living in Australia!) flew the thousands of miles to Feldberger Seenlandschaft – Germany’s gorgeous Lake District, for some incredible celebrations. You can view their pre-wedding photographs and see what they got up to. One of the things I loved about shooting this wedding, is that Cate was actually a good friend of mine in high school! We had drifted a bit, but she’d continued “stalking” me – her words! So to have her ask me to travel from the UK to Germany to shoot her wedding was such a blummin’ huge honour.
Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a huge fan of knowing and understanding my clients before I shoot their day. I dedicate time to my clients, and that’s important to me. Which meant that catching up with Cate, and getting to know Jan, was just brilliant. (I miss them already. Seriously. Still talk to them on Facebook etc, but man. I miss them.)
Now, I have to be honest here. I had no idea what to expect from this location. I’d googled Feldberger Seenlandschaft Wedding Photography to see what might come up, but I was getting much. Now I’m kinda glad I went in semi-blind, as it were, because I was in for one hell of a treat. The location was GORGEOUS – amazing lakes, beautiful wheat fields…and of course, a couple who were smitten for each other.
There were German Traditions galore, fun, games and laughter all the way, and some incredibly beautiful sights. Massive congratulations, and happy anniversary to Cate and Jan! xx
