Sometimes, you walk into a building, and you fall in love with EVERYTHING inside it. And I do mean, EVERYTHING. Hedsor House wedding venue in Buckinghamshire did that for me. I loved the long drive up to the house, past fields of Highland Cows (or, Heery Coos as my brilliant friends call them). And when you arrive at the front of this award winning manor house and it looks pretty amazing. It’s a dream country estate, with everything you need inside. (And outside, in the 100 acres of fields and gardens.)
(Seriously – imagine yourself in your wedding transport of choice, arriving at these doors to celebrate your wedding and marriage. Awesome, right?)
I’ve worked with so many of you lovely brides and grooms over the years. I’ve listened to you intently, and I know of the many wedding planning frustrations. A popular one is not having a place to call your own for 24-48 hours. I know and understand deeply. Perhaps you want a place where you won’t have to worry about bumping into another bride or groom on your wedding day. You don’t want to walk around wondering who are the random and uninvited guests. On top of that, you don’t want a load of strangers appearing in your wedding photos!
If you’re going to have your wedding at a venue which has been a temporary home for the likes of Johnny Depp, Tom Hardy, Maggie Smith and many more celebs, then you can be certain there will be the best service and facilities you could ask for. It’s just up the road from London, and easily accessible to the whole of the UK, it’s totally worth making this place completely your own for the duration.
It’s absolutely certain that you can literally live the life of luxury and make the most of your wedding, if only for one day.
Hedsor House claim themselves as “One of the UK’s most extraordinary and spectacular exclusive use wedding venues.” And they’re not kidding. The AMAZING bridal suite alone makes you feel like you’re living in one of the most lush country houses in the country.
I literally couldn’t get enough of the free-standing claw-foot bath, however, that might be because I have a slight obsession with them…! Oh, and that reflection in the mirror above the bath? Yes, that’s the shower. Want to wake up to sheer luxury the day after your wedding? This would be the way to do it, for sure.
Even as a guest at a wedding, did you ever walk into a venue and feel like you couldn’t touch anything or sit anywhere? Me too. Everything looks so…inviting…but the fear of messing something up stops you in your tracks. Thankfully, the staff at Hedsor are incredibly welcoming, and want you to feel completely relaxed. (We share the same ethics!) You won’t get shouted at for sitting in the comfy chairs in the corner, and you’re encouraged to make the most of your time there.
And if Grandma and Granddad need a little help getting around, they have wheelchair access to many of their facilities. They’re keen on making life with them super easy, and very comfy.
Also, did I mention how gorgeous this place is? (You should contact them to book a visit. It’s worth it, I promise.)
You can be certain that there’s plenty of space for wedding photography at Hedsor House. Masses of garden space overlooking lush, green, rolling hillsides, and plenty of beautifully lit places indoors work a treat for your photos. I’m a massive fan of golden hour, which works an absolute treat in the grounds of Hedsor fields and gardens. (You can ask me more about that when it comes to your wedding photography – it’s totally worth it).
Since I adore Hedsor House as much as I do, it’s currently a wedding venue on my Preferred Wedding Venues list. So as a thank you to couples who book me for this wedding venue, I would like to give you a Fine Art Wedding album as a very special thank you gift! To receive one of these stunning albums, you need to book me for your 2017 or 2018 wedding at Hedsor. Please note, there are only currently 3 albums remaining, so you will have to get in quickly!
There are so many more reasons why Hedsor House wedding venue is on my list of preferred wedding venues. Visit the wedding info page on their website and ask them all of your questions. Also, seriously consider booking a visit to have a look around.
With thanks to Paul Clarke, Carmencita Film Lab, and the lovely staff at Hedsor House.
