Here we go with part two of my whizz-by weekend in France and Spain! Check out Part One here if you missed it already.
Starting off in the beautiful town of Céret, the home of my lovely friends Christopher and Pausha whom you’ll see later on. I was in AWE of where they lived; a home set high on the hillside, overlooking their town, with the coast way off in the distance. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, gorgeous blue skies – geeze it was just sheer perfection. Again, I decided not to go too crazy with the photos; I found myself relaxing into a world where I could relax, and it was ace. To finally see things without being distracted, and appreciate what was around me was SO GOOD FOR ME.
On my last day we headed over to the nearby port of Collioure, where I got to enjoy the most ridonkulous salad (which I inhaled at top speed – sorry for my manners, guys…), enjoyed with a glass of red wine and then a photo walk. Once again, I got swept away with the sights, oblivious to everyone else for a little while. Standing right by the tiny chapel on rocks was one hell of a feat – it was so windy along there, I daren’t stay up there too long. However, there was still that feeling of feeling free for a little while. So awesome.
Driving back from Collioure to Céret, we saw a rainstorm over the mountains and it was just incredible to look at. That last shot is taken from inside the car as we were on the motorway while watching the storm! I’ll be heading back to France in 2014 for weddings, and certainly plan to go back to Barcelona for more of the Sagrada Famiília.
I absolutely have to say a MASSIVE thank you to Pausha and Christopher for having me stay as a guest for the weekend, and for being amazing hosts. I also want to thank them for letting me point my camera at them a little! They’ll never know how much I appreciated their time and patience while I was there. You guys totally rock. xx
