Let’s face it – the ideal person to photograph your wedding, would be someone like your best friend, who knows exactly how to use a camera, and capture everything.
You’re planning one of the best days ever, and you completely value the importance of your wedding photos. You know what you don’t want – stuffy, boring, over-posed. You definitely know what you do want – stylish, relaxed, colourful. You also know that you want someone who will blend in without any stress to you or your guests.
That’s where I can help you (and in a big way, too). You know those horror stories you hear about photographers at other weddings? About how they constantly got in the way, bossed everyone around, stressed out the grandparents, and ran excruciatingly late? I can assure you, I’m the exact opposite of those photographers. Don’t forget – I’m your temporary new best friend who knows how to use a camera…
Emma & Mark, Leeds
I’ll travel everywhere and anywhere for your wedding, without a doubt. In the woods in Yorkshire? Then I’ll pack a picnic. A family farm in Peterborough? Gorgeous, and yes please. On the beach in Cornwall? I’ll bring my Birks and waterproof gear. Stunning manor house in Warwickshire? Country pub in the middle of London? Glorious Town Hall in Sheffield? Seriously, I’ll be there for you. And, there are no additional travel fees for ANY weddings within the UK.
If you’re looking to use my friendly wedding photography services outside of the UK for a destination wedding (the rest of Europe or worldwide), just let me know when you’re planning the big day. I’ll be there 2-3 days in advance to scout the location. Plus, it’s a great time to do your pre-wedding photo shoot at your perfect location of choice.

Recently, one of my many amazing couples got in touch, wanting to give me a testimonial. I’d say that, if you’re not sure about booking me as your wedding photographer, you should probably read this to help give you a definitive answer. (I’m still figuring out how to scrape my chin off the floor after reading it.)
“There are wedding photographers. And then there are really good wedding photographers. And then there is Jay Emme. Not really a wedding photographer, just an incredibly talented and creative superhero (girl ninja) who makes magic happen with her trusty cameras (which she wears in holsters because she is totally bad ass)!
We first met Jay at a friend’s wedding, and had both fallen in love with her before realising she was there in an official role. Likewise, on our wedding day and leading up to it, Jay played a pivotal role in helping us to feel confident and excited. She was such an important part of the atmosphere and fun that some of our guests have actually taken a load of pictures of Jay taking a load of pictures of us, they just knew she was significant! How many wedding photographers can you say THAT about?!
We both hate getting our picture taken and come from rather shy families. Having been to lots of weddings with cringe-worthy guys in horrible waistcoats telling us to “do something crazy!” or “jump in the air!” part of us wanted to avoid the whole photos thing altogether. Then we met Jay and everything changed. She has the rare ability to instantly make people feel relaxed and somehow she captures the best version of you, the essence of your spirit in the moment. Our videographers (Papertwin Weddings, check them out!) could not contain their excitement at the prospect of working with her again and we soon saw why. Even our most timid family and friends came out of their shell and the results were stunning, not cheesy or cliché but powerful and special.
As a feminist bride, it has been particularly meaningful to see how Jay has portrayed me not as a demure pretty little thing staring passively at a satin shoe, but strong, empowered and in love as we embraced in a corn field against a dramatic sky, caught up in the romance and the breeze. Somehow she has captured the spirit of the two of us and that, to us, is priceless. If you want a modern and beautiful take on a (let’s face it) tired industry and are ready to feel like film stars for the day, then Jay is your woman. Thank you Jay for giving us something we will treasure forever, and also for being a phenomenal guest and human!”
I don’t think I can add much to that…apart from to tell the GORGEOUS Sophie and Matt how much I love them (A LOT), and how bloody awesome I think they are.
