It would appear that my super lovely awesome clients are teasing me, this year. Most of my “colleagues” (buddies in the industry) have already shot several weddings this year, many of them into double figures already. Me? I HAVEN’T EVEN STARTED YET. But then, once I do start, it’s FULL ON for the rest of the year. I’m anxious and excited to start, more than you could ever even believe (I’m looking at YOU, Miss Cross and Mr Rimmer – you know I’m counting the days already…)
So what have I been doing during this quiet time? Well quite honestly, I practice. I make the most of 2nd shooting, and my brilliant friend Claire Penn is someone I often 2nd shoot with, when the diary is clear. It’s an ace thing to do, as it definitely helps me keep my game face going. And yeah, I’m a sucker for a party. Honestly, I’ve not been kicked off the dance floor yet, and I’m a bit surprised by that. Also, I can’t get enough of the excitement, drama, peace and gorgeousness throughout the day. There’s just so much going on, the whole time. My brain is fully engaged; I start ticking from the second I wake up, and don’t stop until my files are backed up to various locations.
Wedding junkie. Weddings are my drugs and wonderful gorgeous couples are my dealers.
And so, when I’m waiting for the weddings of my own couples, I have to get my fix from 2nd shooting, naturally! So here’s another wedding I was second shooting Claire this year. I headed up to Chester (again!) for some Chester Town Hall wedding photography. What an amazing building inside! The bride is an old friend of Claire’s, so it was quite an honour to be invited along.
These are some of my favourite shots from the day. Many thanks Claire, for letting me share these!
I’m still running my offer on film wedding photography – make a huge saving of £245 – you get an additional photographer AND additional shots on film. And if you’re having a Chester Town Hall wedding, I’d love to come and photograph it for you. Get in touch!
