This is one of those posts where there are NO SPECIFIC WORDS TO DESCRIBE ALL THE AWESOME at this colourful Herefordshire wedding at Hellens Manor.
And yeah I’m shouty BECAUSE IT WAS SO AWESOME.
I met Hayley and Chris via wedding I was shooting for a lovely friend of mine; I actually gave them a lift to the reception of that wedding. I remember thinking (waaaay) back then that they were a bit super cool. But then when they booked me and began to tell me of their plans, MIND. WAS. BLOWN. 1,000 multicoloured paper cranes, masses of colour, tables themed from placed they had lived around the world, Hellens Manor Barns and orchards, lounge furniture at the venue (home from home), Birkenstocks, colourful toes, Chucks, bow ties, surprise songs, nothing formal, nothing traditional, AHHHHHHH. I confess I walked into their venue after finishing morning prep, and had to have AMAZING 2nd shooter Claire Penn stop me from weeping with joy (so I did it when she wasn’t looking. Thank you! I love you!).
I can’t pick highlights from this one. But one thing which sticks in my mind, was one of the guests saying that we (myself, Hayley and Chris) were “a match made in heaven” because we were all as off the wall and bonkers as each other. Once again, that reassures me that I’m doing something right. And to be honest, that match made in heaven was sealed back when they threw custard pies at each other at The Custard Factory. …yes, really.
Hayley and Chris, you really are brilliant and your imagination blew me away. Thank you so much for letting me work with you; you guys ROCK. xx
Get in touch if you would like to make me your new wedding photography friend… 😉 Whether you’re having a Herefordshire wedding, or somewhere else in the country – I would love to be there.
