I cannot TELL YOU how much I’m enjoying film photography. With, like, real film and EVERYTHING.
Recently, as part of Folio Albums Freedom Tour to Wootton Park, I decided to ditch the dSLR, and took film cameras only. In my bag sat my Leica iiif, my Asahi Pentax SP1000 and my trusty little Fuji X100 (y’know, just in case). I ADORE my film cameras. I ADORE film photography. Did I mention that? So given that Aspire Photography Training were doing styled shoots as part of the day, I was in my ELEMENT having new subjects to play with. I still have plenty to learn, which I love to do. Always wanting to try out new things, this scenario was just perfection. And before I forget, Wootton Park is a GORGEOUS venue for an eclectic wedding. Getting married there? Give me a shout, it’s only up the road from me.
I’m not even going to bore you with words and my excited rambling and squeaking. Instead, I’m just going to say HUGE THANKS to Stewart at Folio Albums (my favourite album suppliers), and Catherine at Aspire for creating an amazing day. Thank you to Zöe Barrie who I am actually in love with (please move into my house really soon). Thank you Zoë Campbell and Nikki Leadbetter for being BRILLIANT models in a boat. *snort* Thank you to various models who wondered what the hell we were doing, but seemed to tolerate us anyway. Thank you to special guest Lakshal “Lucky” Perera who, well, is just pretty damn awesome. Thank you to UK Film Lab who speedily process (and tolerate!) my scans, without asking me “what the hell were you trying to do there?”.
For the camera film photography geek in you, this batch was shot with my Leica iiif, on Kodak Portra 400.
This batch was shot with my Asahi Pentax SP1000, on Fuji 400H.
