Harriet and Sam, requested me to do their Hurlingham Club wedding photography in Fulham, London. I was there from Harriet’s arrival at The Hurlingham Club on a chilly February afternoon. Elegant and gorgeous, she and Sam had a lovely intimate wedding ceremony. They were a couple that loved to be silly and have fun together. It was pretty easy to tell that they were soul mates, and I loved that about them, making them so easy to photograph.
Sometimes, the weddings photograph aren’t loaded with intricate details, millions of guests, or be at the biggest venue available. I love that the simple gesture of two people being totally loved up, comes first and foremost. Sometimes, you just don’t need masses of detail to make that simple statement. That purpose of the day. The point of it all – you’re getting married. (Yeay!)
The Hurlingham Club, which is a private members club in Fulham, London, is so lovely in itself. With masses of gardens outside, and amazing detail inside (which is obvious, but perhaps only if you’re paying attention), it makes for a brilliant venue if you’re a member. There’s an awesome geometric glass ceiling, and plenty of rooms available for dancing. And of course, lots of spaces for lovely wedding portraits with your new buddy for life.
I hope to be back there one day soon. 🙂
