Every so often, I get the opportunity to second shoot and there’s no WAY I’m going to turn it down. Doing some Ladywood Estate Indian wedding photography was one of those opportunities. I hadn’t met the Photography by Vicki team before, but I was STOKED when she asked for a 2nd shooter for this amazing Indian wedding. And when Vicki was happy for me to shoot some film wedding photography too? I was SO happy. This is going to be an EPIC post full of images – it was. after all, a 15 hours day. And worth every single minute. And yes, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Anita and Alpesh had their Hindu wedding day at Leicestershire Ladywood Estate. An amazing venue, perfect in size for Indian weddings large and small. I spent the morning with the groom whilst he got ready and did his prayers, then headed over to Ladywood Estate for the amazing celebrations. My mind was blown; the rituals were incredible and humbling, the bride and groom looked amazing, the love and respect was wonderful.
I shot a teeny bit of film photography for the portraits, and then some more around the venue itself. It was LOVELY to do. The couple looked so gorgeous and Vicki was incredibly patient with me, taking her shots and then allowing me to take mine. I had been wanting to shoot a bit of film photography at an Indian wedding for ages. And of course, I’m keen to photograph an Indian wedding in any case. The couple were keen to have plenty of portrait photos, which made for a lovely “time out” for the couple. I always stress to my couples that it’s important to take a breather from it all, and that’s just what these guys did.
Massive thanks to Photography by Vicki for having me along and allowing me to blog my images. I loved helping you do the lights and get the settings for the light art shot, that was loads of fun! And of course, congratulations to Anita and Alpesh on their amazing wedding day!
I would LOVE to photograph your Indian wedding for you. Please do get in touch for more info, and tell me all about it!
