I go ALL OVER the UK, north to south. So trekking back up north for some Yorkshire wedding photography was easily going to happen. Actually, to be fair, there was no way I was going to miss this, as it was the wedding of Melanie and Martin, at Clay House! I’ve known Mel for a few years now via twitter, and the DAY she announced her engagement, I was all “ER – BAGSIE YOUR WEDDING DUDE”. Soon after, I travelled up to Yorkshire for their Haworth engagement photo shoot, which was BRILLIANT.
Leading up to the day, she shared her secret Pinterest Board with me and I got to drool over her ideas – including having Bananagrams on all the tables. Now, I’m gonna deny making rude words to photograph while the guests were drinking. I’m also going to deny egging the guests on to make rude words, so that I could photograph them. I’m ALSO going to deny moving tiles from other tables, just so I could make sentences, mostly of rude words. Because obviously, obviously, I am a wholesome person who *cough* doesn’t know any rude words.
So anyway! A wedding with a bride, groom and guests who were pretty much as bonkers as me. The wonderful Claire Penn as a second shooter (thank you so much!). A couple who were so loved up and determined to be married (would you just look at the expression on Mel’s face after 1st kiss?!?). Some impromptu requested group shots which had us ROLLING with laughter – well. A day of Yorkshire wedding photography for these guys was pretty much brilliant. I was stil laughing as I created their PASS Gallery. I’ve revisited it several times since, too.
I can’t thank Mel & Martin enough for having me (not that I gave them much choice, but seriously, I adore them both). I must also thank her guests for being so brilliant. CONGRATULATIONS Mr & Mrs Dawson-Jones! xx
