Newborn Photography – 11 day old Baby Girl E in Solihull

This newborn photography post is long over due, but this little Baby Girl E just couldn’t be left any longer. I headed over to Solihull 2 weeks ago to photograph this gorgeous little girl, and oh did she make me work hard!

I tend to get most sessions wrapped up in around 2 hours, but sometimes, a little newborn has other ideas.

The shoot lasted somewhere around 4 hours, and I made sure the parents were happy to keep going. I have since found out poor little E was suffering from major colic – it was nearly 3 hours into the session when she was finally able to get to sleep, after much comforting, soothing and feeds from her lovely mom and dad.

I usually say that newborn sessions last around 2 hours, however, after consultation with the parents, I will keep going until I’ve reached one of my targets. And with Baby Girl E, it was definitely worth being so patient.

Once the beautiful little baby girl was in deep sleep, we were able to get some simple posed shots too.

I was really pleased her mom and dad were happy to let me wait patiently for Baby Girl E to settle, it was definitely worth it. Now they’re trying to decide what they would like to do with their images, whether it’s a CD, story book or full album.
